Ask to Upgrade

Ask to Upgrade is a handy Sims 4 mod for players who do not always want their own Sim to handle every object upgrade. Instead, you can ask an NPC to do the work for you.

The option appears under Upgrades when a suitable NPC is available. They can upgrade the object, your Sim pays for the service, and the NPC earns money. Butlers are an exception, so they do not charge in the same way.

Paid Help For Object Upgrades

This mod is useful when your household has money but not enough time, skill, or patience to upgrade everything manually. It works with many object types, including bathtubs, beds, coffee makers, computers, dishwashers, fireplaces, fridges, showers, sinks, stoves, TVs, washing machines, toilets, and more.

There is one small thing to remember: the NPC must be able to reach the object. If doors are locked or the NPC is not invited in, you may pay and get nothing done.

Wait until one object is finished before asking for another upgrade. The creator also notes that some upgrade interactions can take too long because of a game issue, not because of the mod.
