Better Nanny
Ever hired a nanny in The Sims 4 only to watch them stand around while the baby cries and the diaper stays full? Better Nanny by LittleMsSam actually makes them useful. The main file tweaks their behavior so they feed babies and change diapers more reliably instead of ignoring the most important tasks.
The rest comes as optional add-ons, so you only take what you need.
What You Can Change
You can hire a second nanny if one is not enough for a bigger household. You hire the second one through the first nanny’s pie menu (not the phone), and both follow the same schedule. There are several shift options — short mornings, afternoons, longer days, or versions that include weekends.
- Age restrictions - keep nannies as young adults, adults, elders, or a mix
- No uniform - they wear everyday clothes instead of the classic nanny outfit
- No cooking - stops them from cooking for kids (they still feed babies)
There’s also an option that stops some of the improved baby-care behavior from affecting household Sims, in case you want the changes only for the hired nanny.
Practical Notes
The mod needs the base game and the XML Injector. It works well alongside LittleMsSam’s Live In Services if you want nannies who stay on the lot instead of coming and going. Most players start with the main Better Nanny file and only add the second nanny + schedule packs if they actually need extra help.
If the vanilla nanny has always felt a bit useless in your saves, this mod is one of the more practical fixes available.
