Fish Are Pets makes aquariums and fishbowls feel more alive in The Sims 4. Instead of fish being just background decoration, your Sims can now care for them, build a small bond, and treat them more like tiny household pets.

Fish With More Personality

The mod adds new interactions for fish and aquariums. Sims can name their fish, name the aquarium, feed them, talk to them, play with them, and clean their home. Regular care helps friendship grow, while ignoring the fish can lower that bond.

There is also a small breeding system. Fish can produce eggs, and your Sim can collect them, hatch them, or sell extra fish and eggs for Simoleons. This gives aquariums a bit more purpose, especially for cozy family saves or animal-loving Sims.

Extra Gameplay Details

Your Sims can take photos with their fish and share their fish journey. Posting to Simstagram needs Get Famous, but the main mod is base game compatible.
