XML Injector
XML Injector is a small script library for The Sims 4 that many other mods use as a requirement. It does not add new gameplay by itself. Instead, it gives mod creators a shared way to add interactions and tuning changes without including a separate script in every mod.
If a mod page says XML Injector is required, you need to keep it installed for that mod to work correctly. Missing interactions, menu options, or other features can sometimes be caused by an outdated or missing copy.
Why So Many Mods Need XML Injector
XML Injector can add new interactions to Sims, objects, phones, and other parts of the game. This makes it useful for smaller gameplay mods that only need a few new options and do not need their own full script system.
For players, the setup is simple. You only need one current copy of XML Injector, even if several installed mods use it.
Installing extra copies will not improve anything and can make future updates harder to manage.
How to Check That It Works
The download includes the main XML Injector files and a test package. After placing them in your Mods folder, you can use the test interaction on a household mailbox to confirm that the script is loaded correctly.
Once the test works, the test package can be removed. Keep the main XML Injector files installed as long as another mod depends on them.
Script Mods must be enabled in Game Options. It is also better to remove older versions before updating instead of leaving several copies in different folders.
XML Injector is not an exciting gameplay mod on its own, but it is an important dependency for many Sims 4 mods. Keeping it updated helps prevent missing interactions and other simple mod-related problems.
