Realistic Childbirth Mod

PandaSama’s Child Birth Mod turns pregnancy and birth into a much deeper process. Instead of sending a pregnant Sim away and waiting for the baby to appear, you can prepare for labor, choose a birth method, involve a partner, and follow the delivery from start to finish.

The mod supports both hospital and home births. Sims can give birth naturally, have a C-section, use a birth pool, or deliver in bed with a special birth pillow. Twins and triplets also receive proper birth animations.

Preparing for the baby

Pregnancy now includes more activities and medical options. Sims can attend examinations, get an ultrasound, take pregnancy tests with their partner, and share the news with children or toddlers. Family members may react positively or become upset about the new baby.

Once labor begins, dilation takes time. There are several ways to help it progress:

• exercise on a yoga ball;
• take a bath or shower;
• go for a walk;
• practice breathing exercises;
• ask a birth partner for a massage;
• sway together during contractions.

Giving birth at home or in hospital

For a home birth, you can hire a midwife and prepare a bed or birth pool. The midwife can check the baby and help during labor. Complications may sometimes happen, especially with multiple babies, and an emergency C-section can become necessary.

Hospital births offer medical staff, examinations, pain relief, and different delivery options. A partner can stay nearby and support the pregnant Sim instead of disappearing during the event. These details make each birth feel like an important family moment rather than a short background animation.

Requirements and installation

The Get to Work expansion pack is required. Before installing a new version, completely remove the older Child Birth Mod files from the Mods folder. Extract the downloaded archive, move the included files into the Mods folder, and make sure Script Mods are enabled in the game settings.

Version 1.965 was updated for the June 30, 2026 patch. Because this is a large script mod, check the creator’s page again after major Sims 4 updates.
