Live In Business Mod

Live In Business by LittleMsSam lets a Sim earn money without purchasing a separate commercial lot. A cafe can occupy the ground floor of a townhouse, a small store can sit beside the family kitchen, or the backyard can become a daycare during working hours.

The business is connected to a lot trait. Once it is added, new controls appear on doors, arches, and gates. From there, you can open the venue, close it, set fees, and manage who is allowed inside.

Opening time

Customers begin arriving after the business is opened. Their behavior depends on the selected venue: cafe visitors order drinks, gym guests use exercise equipment, and store customers inspect objects marked for sale.

It is worth building a separate entrance and locking private doors. Otherwise, customers may walk through bedrooms, use household objects, or gather inside parts of the home that were never meant to be public. Opening several businesses on one lot is possible, but running more than one at the same time can cause crowding and lower performance.

What can run from home?

• Cafe: requires Get Together and an espresso bar.
• Bar or club: attracts guests and can provide daily income or entrance fees.
• Daycare: brings several toddlers to the lot for up to 12 hours.
• Gym: allows the owner to charge each visitor an entrance fee.
• Pet daycare: requires Cats & Dogs, plus a pet bowl or bed.
• Vet clinic: lets Sims examine animals, treat patients, and hire employees at home.
• Store: sells paintings, books, crafts, food, collectibles, harvestables, and many other objects.

The home store works differently from the retail system and does not require Get to Work. Prices can use a markup of 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%. Higher prices bring more profit, but customers are less likely to buy.

Choose only the files you need

The download contains separate business modules, so there is no reason to install every venue type. Keep the main file and add only the lot traits or challenges you plan to use. Optional files can reduce income, increase customer numbers, or move traits into the Lot Challenges section.

Live In Business requires the XML Injector. Place the selected files and XML Injector inside the Mods folder and enable Script Mods.
