First Love

Child Sims can become close friends, but the base game does not let that friendship develop into an innocent childhood crush. First Love by LittleMsSam adds a separate relationship path that can begin during childhood and continue when both Sims become teenagers.

From best friend to first crush

The new First Love menu appears after two children reach a friendship value of at least 75. One of them can then use Confess to Have a Crush. If the confession goes well, the pair receives a new relationship called First Crush.

Progress is not instant. Spending time near the crush slowly raises a hidden relationship value, while new interactions become available as the connection grows.

1. Exchange Numbers: unlocks calls and text messages between the two children.
2. Hug: adds more progress when they meet in person.
3. Monkey Around: becomes available after the relationship develops further.
4. Stargazing: offers another way to spend time together, but requires Outdoor Retreat.
5. Ask to Be Boyfriend/Girlfriend: changes First Crush into the complete First Love relationship.

If Social Activities by the same creator is installed, children can also visit their crush through the phone menu.

What happens when they become teens?

A seven-day countdown begins when one of the children ages up. If the second Sim also becomes a teenager and they meet before the countdown ends, their childhood relationship changes into a teenage romance with an existing romantic connection.

If they do not meet the conditions in time, the First Love relationship remains in their history, but its special interactions stop working. They can later begin a new romantic relationship in the usual way. The pair can also choose Ask to Be Just Friends, which removes their hidden progress and First Love status.

Settings and required files

The mod includes preferences for liking girls, boys, or both, which control when its interactions appear. Optional add-ons can make relationship progress two or four times faster, but only one speed add-on should be installed.

First Love requires the XML Injector. Place the extracted mod files and XML Injector in the Mods folder, then enable Script Mods.
