Road to Wealth Mod
Money is easy to earn in The Sims 4, but it rarely changes how the world sees a household. Road to Wealth by xosdr adds net worth, debt, investments, paid services, and new reasons to save or spend Simoleons.
A Sim’s financial position is calculated from household cash and property value. The assigned trait changes automatically when the family buys a larger home, earns more money, or spends its savings.
Where does your household belong?
| Net Worth | Required Value |
|---|---|
| Poor | Below §15,000 |
| Lower Class | §15,000–§50,000 |
| Middle Class | §50,000–§150,000 |
| Upper Class | §150,000–§500,000 |
| Wealthy | §500,000–§1,000,000 |
| Millionaire | Above §1,000,000 |
Sims may have preferences for particular financial classes. They can ask another Sim about their net worth and react positively or negatively to the answer. These opinions can affect friendships, romance, and moodlets.
Loans are not free household funds
New families can begin with an optional starter loan instead of receiving money without consequences. Regular loans are also available through the finances module. Applications may be denied, accepted balances collect interest, and borrowers must repay part of their debt each week.
Ignoring payments has consequences. A debtor may arrive and remove objects from the home. Sims with extra cash can invest it instead, but the value may rise or fall before the money is withdrawn.
More places for Simoleons to go
The mod is divided into modules:
- Finances: loans and investments;
- Shopping: SimMart stores with changing daily stock;
- Activities: paid outings with skills, chance cards, and rewards;
- Memberships: temporary cards that can cover entrance fees.
Optional files can increase lot prices, reduce starting funds, charge for travel, raise university costs, or add prices to infant and toddler supplies.
Keep the CoreFile and Strings package installed, then choose only the modules you want. The script file must be no more than one folder deep inside Mods. Zerbu’s Custom Preferences Mod is required for the net worth likes and dislikes system.
