Realistic Cooking Mod

Realistic Cooking Mod by Somik & Severinka fills your Sims' kitchen with real groceries in The Sims 4. Instead of one magic fridge, cooking now uses actual products like milk, flour, cheese, jam, honey, tea and coffee. Version 7.4 includes more than 70 functional products and around 150 new objects.

It works with the base game. You also need XML Injector and the Any Ingredient cooking tags resource in your Mods folder. The optional EA override folders are split by pack, so delete the ones for packs you don't own, and clear the cache when you update.

What the Mod Changes

EA recipes now ask for the new ingredients, so your Sim has to stock the fridge before cooking a proper meal. Most packs can be opened into portions: a bag of flour turns into measured flour, a bottle of milk into cups for recipes, and the portions go straight into the fridge inventory. Products come in different quality levels and spoil over time, so shopping becomes part of the routine.

Some groceries work as snacks too. Sims can eat chips, crackers or chocolate right from the pack, or dip into a jar of jam or honey. The prices of EA fruit, vegetables and fish are adjusted to match the new system.

The file is large because of all the objects, but it's still the most complete grocery overhaul for players who love cooking gameplay.
