Mood Pack Mod
The Mood Pack Mod by Lumpinou gives The Sims 4 a much bigger emotional vocabulary. Instead of squeezing every feeling into Happy, Sad, Angry or Tense, Sims can now be Jealous, Guilty, Relieved, Nostalgic, Insecure or Hurt, each with its own mood name and icon.
One thing to know before you grab it: this mood pack mod for Sims 4 does nothing by itself. Think of it as a library of feelings that other mods borrow from whenever the base game has no fitting emotion. It needs only the base game, with no XML Injector and no script, and it can't clash with your other mods because it only adds new moods and never edits existing ones. The current file is version 1.677, and Lumpinou has cleared her mods for patch 1.129.39.
Why So Many Sims 4 Mods Need the Mood Pack
Plenty of popular gameplay mods list it as a requirement, which is why it often lands in a Mods folder before players even know what it does. Healthcare Redux and Expanded Pregnancy Interactions use it, Dynamic Teen Life and First Impressions depend on it, and the 100 Base Game Traits Pack ships an optional file for players who have it. If a mod tells you in game that the Mood Pack is missing, this is the file it is asking for.
Under the hood, each custom mood is paired with a familiar base emotion. Jealous and Bitter sit with Angry, Lonely and Disappointed with Sad, Excited with Happy, and Anxious with Tense. The new feelings slot neatly into the game's emotion system, while you see a label that actually matches what just happened to your Sim.
What Is Inside the File
- More than 60 moods – Admirative, Bitter, Confused, Forgiving, Frustrated, Guilty, Jealous, Lonely, Nostalgic, Proud, Relieved, Suspicious and many others
- One package – players only need a single .package file in the Mods folder
- Toddler-ready moods – a good share of the moods also work on toddlers, so mods for little ones can use them
- Dormant until needed – a mood only appears when another mod's moodlet calls for it, so nothing changes in a save without such mods
Modders get a separate creator resource with mood IDs and test interactions, but regular players can ignore it completely.
If even one mod in your folder lists it as a requirement, the Mood Pack is a two-second install that makes every emotional moment in your stories a lot more precise.
